Andrew Hanko Named All-American
Andrew Hanko was third in the National Scholastic Indoor Championships (NSIC) 5000 on Friday, March 9, 2007 in a state record time of 15:04.42, and was named NSIC All-American.
For this winter, his results have him with the third best time in the nation in the 3200 (9:08.03)(and the fifth best time in that event as well); the fifth best time in the nation in the 2 mile (9:09.80); and the sixth best time in the 3000. He was the only runner nationally to run under 9:10 for the 3200 three times this winter. Congratulations, Andrew!
Andrew is also remarkable for his firm stance of not running on the Lord's Day as a matter of personal conviction. As a result, he missed the New Jersey Meet of Champions, and both of the national two mile races.
