Trinity Christian School athletes won two events and scored in four others at the Non-Public Group B State Championships in Egg Harbor this past weekend. On Friday, Andrew Hanko won a windy and hot 1600, and he followed that up with a meet record win in the 3200 on Saturday. He finished his state group career with five first place finishes (1600 in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and the 3200 in 2006 and 2007) and one second place finish (3200 in 2005).
Other scorers: Ally Holmes placed third in the 100 and sixth in the 400 (these were the first times any TCS girl athlete had scored in the state group meet); Jared Hanko placed fifth in the 3200; and our boys 4x4 relay team came in second. Top six performances qualify these athletes and the relay team for the New Jersey Meet of Champions (Meet Program Here) this Wednesday at Hub Stein Field in South Plainfield.
