Post Season Honors Received: Hanko, Sullivan, Campbell, Hanko

Flash! Ethan Hastings' cousin makes US Olympic Team

LAST NIGHT IN EUGENE, OREGON, AMY HASTINGS, COUSIN OF ETHAN HASTINGS, WON THE OLYMPIC TRIALS 10,000 METER RACE TO MAKE THE UNITED STATES OLYMPIC TEAM.

This was a great race for Josiah. He ran negative split 4:45/4:29 and passed three or four people in the last 200 meters.

2012 State Group Results

THREE TCS ATHLETES HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE MEET OF CHAMPIONS NEXT THURSDAY IN FIVE EVENTS:  Jonathan Campbell in Discus and Javelin, Aaron Hanko in the Triple Jump (!), and Josiah Hanko in 1600 and 3200.

First Day: TCS began the 2-12 State Group meet in South Plainfield on Friday.  Josiah Hanko, our only competitor of the day, finished second in the 1600 in 4:23.52.

Second Day:  Highlights:

Two scoring performances from Jonathan Campbell: 2nd in Discus and 4th in Javelin, both school records!

School record and 3rd place for Aaron Hanko in the Triple Jump

15 second PR of 9:20.94 for 2nd place for Josiah Hanko in 3200.

Good performance by our relay team of Daletyn Harris, Oliver Budd, Aaron Hanko and Josiah Hanko.

18 points in Field Events, 16 points on the Track.  Thanks to Bob Wis for his coaching and encouragement to our athletes.  Thanks to Steve Hanko and Josh Nelson for all of their help on the track all year.
