LOCATION OF PRACTICES: NEW FOR 2016. WE WILL BEGIN AND END ALL PRACTICES AT THE TCS GYM UNLESS OTHERWISE ANNOUNCED.
Scheduled practices are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, roughly 3:15 to 4:45, and Saturday mornings (see below). PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO PICK UP YOUR STUDENT UNTIL PRACTICE IS OVER. With only three days of practice per week, we need every minute of these practices.
We will have organized sessions after school two days per week, on Tuesday and Thursday. If others can help on those days, please let me know (as soon as possible!). We will usually have some students at TCS and some at Montville HS during these practices.Students are expected to attend all practices unless excused by the coaching staff. If there are regular scheduling problems (e.g., a job) let us know and we will work something out.
Saturday practices will again be at 8:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday mornings at Montville High School for both teams (EXCEPT FOR FIRST PRACTICE AT TCS). PLEASE DROP THEM OFF SO THEY CAN BEGIN WARMING UP PROMPTLY AT THE TIMES NOTED. PRACTICES HAVE GENERALLY ENDED AT 10:00 ON COLD OR RAINY DAYS and in the beginning of the season, and by 10:30 on other days. Now that we have a gym, we may use the time until 10:30 for stretching and strength work even on cold days.
Please be prompt in picking up your students at those times.

Andrew and Melinda Hanko
One of our graduates, Andrew Hanko and his wife Melinda, have created a blog concerning their son Noah Steven Hanko, who was born yesterday, November 10, 2015, at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia ("CHOP"). The blog describes the journey they have had since a prenatal ultrasound revealed a condition that needed to be investigated, which led them to CHOP.
We are posting this in the hope that you would remember to pray for the Hankos and little Noah.

Track and Field Teams have won 69 Christian School Invitationals, and
have placed second 28 times; third 23 times and fourth 6 times.
The High School Teams have won 37 of the 70 meets they have entered, 53 percent. They have come in the top three in those meets 84 percent of the time.
The High School Boys have won 69 percent of all Christian School Invitationals entered and have been in the top three 97 percent of the time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Both of our teams were second place in our division of 17 schools. The girls were in the running for winning the entire meet and just fell short at the end, despite a number of excellent performances and being hindered by some key injuries. Lydia Harris scored 21 points as she won the 400, was third in the 200 and sixth in the 100. Samantha Yamasaki scored 16 points with a second in the 800 and third in the 1600. Alison Champagne scored 14 with a second in the 3200 and fourth in the 1600. Our boys were led by Marcus Prol and Iain Stempert.

HIGH SCHOOL: Both of our teams were second place in our division of 17 schools. The girls were in the running for winning the entire meet and just fell short at the end, despite a number of excellent performances and being hindered by some key injuries. Lydia Harris scored 21 points as she won the 400, was third in the 200 and sixth in the 100. Samantha Yamasaki scored 16 points with a second in the 800 and third in the 1600. Alison Champagne scored 14 with a second in the 3200 and fourth in the 1600. Our boys were led by Marcus Prol and Iain Stempert.

MACSA Senior and Junior High
Two beautiful days at Messiah College for the 2015 MACSA Meets. For the first time in several years, both of our High School teams won our division. Due to some changes in the meet this year, some schools that have traditionally been in our division were in the larger schools category. However, a quick tally of the times and distances for those schools indicate that we still would have won both meets even if they were still in our division this year. I am attempting to obtain the raw data from the timer to run the meet with those schools included.
The junior high teams were both third this year, improving on their performances from 2104 when the boys were sixth and the girls twelfth.
Numerous excellent performances and personal records for both teams. Point-wise, Samantha Yamasaki scored 38 points,winning the 400, 800 and 1600 and coming in second in the 200. Marcus Prol scored 28 points with two seconds and two thirds. Oliver Budd won the 200 and was second in the 100, and contributed to relay teams that came in first and second, for a total of 22.5 points.
